So Much Family Fun

What a wonderful time of year. We have been trying to do as many fun Christmas things as possible. I had 4 days off this past weekend and we did/tried to get many things done. Christmas shopping...check, wrapping....check, Christmas baking.....check, visit with Santa (pics above)......check, babies first Starbucks.....check (WHAT?!??!)So after seeing Santa, shopping, and getting a massage on Saturday we found out the Indy star had a website with all of the x-mas light decorations nominated for the awards. We are total suckers for the HGTV Christmas lights specials. So we loaded in the car and started driving ALL around Indy looking at Christmas lights. I thought it would be fun to get a Starbucks hot chocolate and we decided to get Will a milkshake. Pat ordered a small, but they gave us a large. We decided what the heck, it's his Christmas too, so we let him drink and suck the whipped cream out of the straw and his fingers. He giggled and laughed the whole time ( the mess was totally worth it) and the lights were awesome. During which Pat decided he has to figure out of he can do them to music next year (lord help me). So needless to say we have been having a blast this year. Will has just given us more joy than I could have ever imagined.

On a sad note we lost a dear kind-hearted man in our family this week. Uncle Chester was a wonderful man who always had a hug and smile for you. His family has been through so much and my heart is just breaking for them right now. As we celebrate the best birthday of all, let them have peace that though he is gone from us now, what we celebrate this week (Christmas) allows us to know that we will again see him soon.
